Ideal Place to Work in

The ideal place to work in, is in which you feel comfortable, give you some benefits and supply all your needs as a worker

Nowadays, it is difficult to find a place where people feel comfortable and really like their job. For this reason, it is important to get one that fits perfect with the needs of the worker.

Firstable, it is important to get a job that is totally connected with your career. Most of the people, work in a job that do not have relation on what they studied, because of the economic problems that have been incresing in the last century. Also, the person must be in a  place where the salary is reasonable and according to the hours that he/she spent working. The employee don't have to be exploted or feel abused by their own jobs, in which they will work for the rest of their lives.

There must be extra-time to do other activities, such as stay with their families or practice any sport sharing with their kids. Actually, the Colombian families are too weak, mostly for that, the parents do not have enough time to educate their children. It is very important to get a job in which the employees have enough time to live their own lives, and feel happy  with their jobs. The worst thing, is to feel that they are wasting their lives working in a job that are soaking up them.

The appereance and the environment of the work place is really important. It must be light and bright. The silence is very important too. Everybody would really like to work in a quiet place, to concentrate in the activities each one is doing. A coffee dispenser is useful for the people who work late at night, or the ones who need to arrive very early. Besides that, any place to rest and at the same time work it would be wonderful. Such as a cafeteria, or a yard, where you could distract, eat, work, watch TV, etc. Finally, a comfortable seat, it is very useful too, for the people who are sitting 8 straight hours.

A company has to give some benefits to their employees. For example, Extra-learning courses for their own training and to imporve their skills. A space for kids is very approachable for the mothers who left their children at home. And finally, agreements with clubs, restaurants and airlines to travl cheaper or have some eocnocmic benefits in food or something. There must be a "gift" or regard for the people who are working for them.

In conclusion, the ideal place to work in, is where the worker feel comfortable, give benefits to their families and for them. It is important too, to be in a place that helps to improve yourself, and supply your needs as a human being and as a worker.

Preparing today’s youth to succeed in the digital economy requires a new kind of teaching and learning. Skills such as global literacy, computer literacy, problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation have become critical in today’s increasingly interconnected workforce and society--and technology is the catalyst for bringing these changes into the classroom.
In a 21st-century learning environment, all students are able to learn. Project-based learning allows students to acquire 21st-century skills in the context of real-world scenarios, and the integration of video and other media to support instruction links students with outside resources and enables teachers to address many learning styles at once. In fact, the 21st-century learning environment doesn’t just wait for teachable moments; it literally creates them at will.
At eSchool News, we’ve seen schools transforming through the use of technology to meet the needs of a new, tech-savvy generation of learners. Now, with the generous support of AVPartners, we’ve combed our archives to assemble our best content related to the creation of 21st-century classrooms. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to peruse these resources and learn how other educators are defining 21st-century learning as you strive to implement this vision of education in your own schools.

Governance and Leadership for Social Change
Sonia Ospina
This work presents preliminary results of a national and multi-year research project developed in the United States to explore how leadership for social change happens in grassroots, civil society organizations. The article describes key leadership practices that these organizations use to influence public policies in the name of communities that have been traditionally marginalized from society's participation and distribution processes. These results are used to reflect on the role that civil society organizations play in the general trend towards the emergence of new forms of governance in the context of the United States.
The preliminary results reported offer a perspective on leadership for social change that departs from traditional mental models of effective leadership and that seems more in line with new forms of governance. This perspective questions the idea that social transformation requires heroic leadership from a few individuals in authority positions. Instead, the characteristics of social change leadership discussed invite us to imagine the potential of leadership as something that belongs to the group and that emerges at any level of the organization or social system where common work is being pursued.
This model of leadership seems more appropriate to support and advance new governance practices, where the legitimacy and authority to resolve public problems are distributed horizontally as well as vertically among different social actors, with equal leadership capacity to improve citizens' quality of life. Interestingly, instead of always promoting cooperative relationships between civil society and government, this kind of leadership is characterized by the effective management of a paradoxical relationship that combines confrontation and dialogue within the same strategy.

Life skills at school

The school should implement some life skills in the schedule for the students to improve their abilities and weaknesses, and also to be prepared for the future.

A lot of people think students are completely fine and well-trained only teaching them academic subjects. Obviously, this is important because it creates some analitic and logic skills. But it is also important to trained them for the future and for themselves too.

For example, cookery is an that not all the students are interested in , but it is a way to be independent fron their parents , because if , because if the student know how to cook, it is easier to make their own food if nobody`s home , and not only as a child or teenager, thinking in the future , this activity that starts at school help yourself to manage many situations in your independent life and in marry life.

There are others as first aid , that helps you to make the correct things in case of emergency , or classes of drama , help students to be different personas and imporve their abilities and skills personalizing some roles. Also, learning foreign languages, they are very useful to travel and to communicate to the other people.

For the reasons I' ve mentioned above, life skills are important to improve student's abilities and weaknesses , and also to do what they like the most, and help them to have a better future in the real life, in which they have to do things by themselves and learn some others that are important and very useful to live.

CULTURE SHOCKS

There are many cultures around the world in which traditions make the difference. Foreign people have had many experiences in other countries, where costums are unfamiliar to them. These can cause some feelings such as surprise, confusing or some actions can be seen as impolite or in a rude way. These manners are strange for foreign people. For example:

1. The word “Russia’ is synonymous with ‘sex’ in countries in the Arabic Gulf where thousands of prostitutes from Russia and the Ukraine are flown in every year to meet the clandestine needs of the oil-rich. //Sources- http://www.esquire.com/the-side/blog/demascus081607

2. In India, when people give money to beggars they thank them for the opportunity to give and gain merit.

Argumentative EssaY LEARNING ENGLISH

English has become an important tool to communicate with the entire world

English has became an important language around the world. Nowadays almost everybody knows English or is learning it. At schools and universities English is an obligatory subject and a requirement to graduate.

This language is a very important tool that is used to communicate with the other people. After the technological Revolution, any person has the possibility to travel to other countries and interact with foreign people. It is common to see it at airports, restaurants or anywhere. For example, the advertisements are in most of the times in Spanish and English. Also, you can communicate and know people around the world by Internet, and the way you do it must be in English.

There are a lot of countries that have English as a second language, or is the first one, such as many in the United States and Europe, and particullary in Canada, so when people travel right there, they have the option to communicate in French or English, and this is happening almost in every country.

For business, English is a tool to communicate. Also, it is a requirement for jobs and necessarily in trips. For students, it allows then to make some agreements easier than if they only knowed Spanish.

In conclusion, English has become a universal language that people must know to communicate and understand the world, so that is why people are most interested in learning English and practice it.
